About this series

Thomas Watt, a Colville Indian and Vietnam veteran, found refuge from the horrors of war in tribal tradition. This week, the Colville Confederated Tribe is bringing Watt and 24 other former soldiers to Branson, Mo., for Operation Homecoming USA's tribute to Vietnam veterans. Veterans Outreach Center

The Veterans Outreach Center assists veterans of all conflicts (and in-between), and although Vietnam veterans represent the largest population served by our program, has begun to see increasing numbers of Gulf War (I & II) veterans needing assistance. The Center provides services through three primary programs: psychological counseling/therapy, benefits counseling/advocacy, and employment assistance. Supplementing these programs are support services including transportation, referrals, and emergency needs assistance. Over the course of a year the center will assist over 500 veterans with our programs.
