Ritzville, located 58 miles southwest of Spokane along Interstate 90, receives only about 10 inches of rain a year. Three sets of railroad tracks run through Ritzville, an agricultural hub. The town has both a Carnegie Library and an art deco Ritz movie theater. (Ritz crackers were not created in Ritzville, in case you were wondering.) Ritzville and the nearby town of Lind created an athletic partnership in 2002, hence the hyphen.

The State 2B basketball tournament runs
March 4-7 in the Spokane Arena.
