There are worse things to be compared to than Jewel. But it makes one wonder: why isn’t Palouse the Jewel of the Palouse? Is there still some rivalry from when Gar and Pal each had their own sports teams? Gar-Pal is known as the “Home of the Vikings and the Raiders.” Do they switch off mascots at half time?
