Boys: Garfield-Palouse 47, Entiat 34
Highlights: Garfield-Palouse, only up four at the end of the third quarter, began the fourth on a 12-2 run and pulled away to beat Entiat.
Senior guard Tyson Palmer scored 18 points, including eight in the fourth to help the Vikings move into the winners’ bracket.
Entiat was led by junior Dylan Crawley, who had a team-high 13 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks. The Tigers won the rebounding battle 36-25.
Entiat (16-7, which trailed by 10 at the end of the first, took a short-lived lead in the third at 24-23 but it only lasted about 20 seconds.
Garfield-Palouse (21-4) really got after it on defense, causing 25 turnovers leading to 16 Viking points.
