Girls: Liberty Bell 44, North Beach 32
Highlights: After tying through two quarters, the Liberty Bell Mountain Lions (21-3) more than doubled North Beach's point totals in the next two and pulled away to the victory.
The Mountain Lions cut the Hyaks (14-11) shooting percentage from 44 in the first half down to 24 in the second half, and also had 16 total steals on the way to 17 points off turnovers. The Hyaks had 27 total turnovers compared to 17 from Liberty Bell.
Junior Ryliegh Ferrill led the Lions with 14 points, going 5-6 from the field and 4-7 from the line. She also added nine rebounds and four steals. Junior Bailey Bradshaw added nine points and five steals. Junior Shelby Scott also added nine points for Liberty Bell, including a pair of free throws and a score in the third quarter to extend the lead to 34-28. North Beach never got closer.
Elizabeth Thatcher had 16 points and 14 rebounds in the loss, but also four turnovers. Guard Cheresse Weidman was active with five rebounds and five steals, but also turned the ball over nine times.
