Highlights: Pomeroy's first half scoring slump proved too much to overcome as they fell to La Conner 31-25.
Pomeroy's Taelor Braun led all scorers with 14 points, she also led the Pirates with 10 rebounds.
La Conner was led by Chelsey Allman's 7 points and Lauren McClung and Julie Hulbert each had 10 rebounds to pace the Braves.
The Pirates were able to force the Braves into committing 23 turnovers, as Braun had 7 steals.
Pomeroy was able to close the gap to three points at one point in the fourth quarter, but could not complete the comeback as Candice Pedroza converted both ends of a 1 and 1 with 10.9 seconds remaining to make the score 30-25.
La Conner's bench also proved valuable in the game, outscoring Pomeroy's reserves 17-0.
