Boys: Napavine 49, Adna 44
Highlights: Senior Blake Anthony scored 28 points and had eight rebounds as Napavine fended off nearby rival Adna's late-game push and secured a fourth-place trophy.
After trailing by six much of the third, Jeremy White hit a baseline 3 to cut the lead to 41-40 with 2 minutes left in the quarter. From that point the teams stayed within three until the final minute.
With 50 seconds left in the game, Kyle Grosshans hit two free throws to cut Napavine's lead to 45-44. After a Napavine miss, Adna cleared with 27 seconds left and a chance to tie. Colby Fitzgerald got fouled inside by Napavine's Justin Smith but missed both free throws. Adna then intentionally fouled and sent Smith to the line. He missed both, but Reece Stanely pulled down the rebound over two Adna players and scored.
Down by three with 10 seconds left, Adna took it the length of the floor and Grosshans got off a clean look, but it was from at least a foot beyond the arc and well short, landing out of bounds and giving Napavine the ball with 1.5 left.
Grosshans finished with 12 points and six rebounds for the Pirates, while Fitzgerald added 10.
