Boys: Adna 49, Summit 46

Highlights: Adna withstood Summit’s fourth-quarter run and held on to win 49-46 on Wednesday, advancing through the first round at the State 2B boys basketball tournament at the Spokane Arena.
Gat Bol’s off-balance 3-point attempt slammed high off the backboard at the buzzer, allowing Adna to hang on to the victory. Summit trailed 42-29 early in the fourth quarter but stormed back with a 13-3 run to pull within three points late.
Junior Kyle Grosshans scored a game-high 15 points, sophomore Tyler Dotson added 13 and junior Coulsen Kohler poured in 11 of his own for the Pirates (19-7), who will face Davenport (18-7) in the second round at 4 p.m. Thursday.
The Pirates won despite hitting only 35.6 percent of their shots from the field. Senior Jacob Roos led the Invaders with 14 points and five rebounds.
Summit (13-14) will play Liberty Christian in the consolation bracket.
