Boys: Davenport 54, Adna 46

Highlights: Taylor Morgan just couldn’t get anything in the basket through the first 23 minutes but then something started to click. Morgan scored 17 of Davenport’s final 28 points to help lead a Gorilla comeback win 54-46 over Adna in the quarterfinals.

Davenport (19-7), trailing by eight early in the fourth, went on 15-2 run to take a five-point lead and then hit their free throws to seal the win.

Adna (19-8) junior Kyle Grosshans was on fire through three quarters scoring 21, but he and the team went cold in the fourth going over five minutes without a field goal.

Gorillas’ junior Jarod Gunning scored a team-high 19 points while teammate junior Morgan Scharff pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.

Davenport went 10 for 15 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter.
