Girls: La Salle 49, Evergreen Lutheran 35
Highlights: With leading scorer Savannah Bonny sidelined less than a minute into the game, the La Salle Lightning leaned heavily on senior Melissa McCanna, and she answered with 12 points to lead all scorers.
Fellow senior Stephanie Wytko added 10 points for the Lightning.
Evergreen Lutheran saw their starting forward Megume Poetter go down with a leg injury partway through the third quarter.
Unable to keep up with La Salle's inside presence, the Eagles closed the gap to 10 points with 2:23 remaining in the game, but Lightning guard Julia Kennedy answered with a layup to squelch any chance of a comeback.
