Girls: Colfax 54, White Pass 33

Highlights: Kayla Johnson scored a tournament-high 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Colfax (25-2), who put the White Pass Panthers away with ease to claim a spot in the 2B State Championship game tomorrow night against Napavine. Johnson was was 8 of 12 from the floor and 10 of 14 from the free throw line for her second straight 20-plus scoring game of the tournament.

White Pass (22-6) frustrated the Bulldogs with a full-court press early on, leading 13-9 after the first quarer. Freshman point guard Morgan Wilson wasn't fazed by the pressure of the big stage or the Panthers' defense, however, committing only one turnover in 21 minutes, breaking the Panthers' press and leading the Bulldogs' 18-7 second-quarter charge.

Colfax shot 47 percent from the field while holding White Pass to 16 percent, and 3 of 25 in the second half, when the Bulldogs broke the game open with a 21-point lead.

Panthers guard Mikel Elliott, who scored more than 20 in her first two tournament games, went 10 of 15 from the line for 15.

There were three lead changes and five ties early in this game, before Colfax oustcored Whitepass 14-4 in the third quarter.
