Girls: White Pass 54, Pomeroy 45
Highlights: Breanna Moody scored nine of her game-high 23 points in the fourth quarter and White Pass defeated Pomeroy 54-45 in first-round play Wednesday at the Spokane Arena.
Jennifer Mullins added 10 points and six rebounds for the Panthers, who led 28-21 at halftime.
The Pirates ended the third quarter on a 6-0 run to close the gap to four points, 43-39, heading into the fourth. But Moody took over in the fourth to guide White Pass to the victory.
Michelle FitGerald had 15 points on 7-of-14 shooting to lead Pomeroy.
The Panthers will play the winner between Evergreen Lutheran and St. George’s Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The Pirates will play the loser of the game Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in a loser-out game.
