Boys: Liberty Bell 58, Riverside Chr. 49
Highlights: Chris Pynch scored 27 points, but the Mountain Lions had four players score in double figures to hold off Riverside Christian 58-49 in the consolation third/sixth place game at the Spokane Arena.
Liberty Bell outscored the Crusaders 16-9 in the final quarter, turning a 42-40 lead after three into a nine point victory. Pynch missed desperation 3-pointers with under a minute left for Riverside Christian (22-2) and Connor Walsh hit 3-of-4 free throws in addition to a Tyler Doornink layup with less than 10 seconds left to seal the third place for Liberty Bell (20-5).
Louis Donnet had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Mountain Lions. Pynch shot 10 of 24 from the field, including 3 of 11 from 3-point range for Riverside Christian.
The game was tight and well played all the way through. The teams combined for only 17 turnovers and there were four ties and three lead changes before Liberty Bell took control for good in the fourth quarter.
