Girls: King's West 48, Liberty Bell 43

Highlights: It took the Warriors 11 tries to place at the state tournament but they finally did so with a 48-43 victory over the Mountain Lions for a fourth-place finish.

The Warriors (21-5) rode the back of senior star Megan Spence all afternoon as she scored over 60 percent of her team’s points with 30. Spence had an exceptional tournament averaging 24.5 points throughout the four games.

The Mountain Lions (24-4) didn’t go quietly as they climbed back from a nine-point deficit in the fourth quarter to tie the game with three and a half minutes left.

Sophomore Shelby Scott did everything she could for the Mountain Lions scoring nine of her team-high 20 points in the fourth.

Junior Irene Moore sunk some huge free throws for the Warriors at the end going 5-6 from the line in the final minutes. She scored all seven of her points in the fourth quarter.
