Boys: La Conner 81, Wellpinit 68

Highlights: Jason Lindeman drained 37 points in a scoring rampage for LaConner, and the Braves finished off Wellpinit, 81-68, in opening round action.

Lindeman and teammate Taylor Thostenson combined for 57 of the Braves’ (19-2) total points. Thostenson also snagged 12 boards, including 8 offensive rebounds.

The Redskins (17-12) used a three-pronged attack of TJ Flett, Cody Flett and Kennedy Seyler to keep the game close through three quarters.

But the contest belonged to Lindeman, who slashed and jump-shot his way to a game-high performance. He drained a 3-pointer with 2 seconds remaining in the third quarter that gave LaConner momentum and instigated an 11-5 run to open the fourth quarter.

LaConner squares off against Liberty Bell tomorrow at 4 p.m. and Wellpinit will face Reardan at 9 a.m. in the loser’s bracket.
