Girls: White Pass 49, St. George's 29
Highlights: The St. George’s girls had no answer for White Pass’ Breanna Moody.
Moody scored a game-high 30 points on 13-of-28 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Cougars to a 49-29 quarterfinal win over the Dragons Thursday at the Spokane Arena.
Moody hit two jump-shots and a 3-pointer just 1 minute, 15 seconds into the game to give White Pass an early 7-0 lead. She finished with 13 points in the quarter and the Cougars led 19-8.
St. George’s outscored White Pass 13-9 in the second quarter to cut the lead to nine, 28-21, at halftime.
Chessey Thomas had 12 points to lead the Dragons.
