Boys: Northwest Chr. (Colbert) 66, Darrington 43
Highlights: Northwest Christian (Colbert) took care of business against Darrington Thursday night with a 66-43 win to move onto the semifinals tomorrow night.
It’s just another win for the Crusaders on their quest to win their third consecutive state title.
The Crusaders used their veteran leadership and experience to pull away from the Loggers after they had closed the gap to seven points midway through the third quarter.
Senior John Graham and junior Chase Ramey each scored 15 points to go along with junior Matt Zandbergen’s double double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.
The Loggers were led by junior Mike Parris who had a game-high 18 points to go along with five rebounds.
Northwest Christian will play in the semis tomorrow night against Liberty Bell at 6 p.m. while Darrington takes on league rival La Conner in a loser-out game at 2:30 p.m.
