Boys: Liberty Bell 60, La Conner 50
Highlights: Liberty Bell, after starting slow, put the game into the hands of their senior guard Connor Walsh who didn’t disappoint. Walsh scored 12 of his game-high 23 points in the third quarter and the Mountain Lions advanced to the semifinals with a 60-50 victory over La Conner Thursday afternoon.
The Mountain Lions stepped up defensively shutting down La Conner senior guard Jason Lindeman, who was coming off a 37-point performance in the first round, holding him to only six points.
Along with Walsh’s output the Mountain Lions got double figure scoring contributions from seniors Tre Aherns who scored 13 points and Louis Donnet who had 10.
The Braves were led by junior Galen McKnight who hit a couple 3’s early and finished with a team-high 10 points.
