Boys: St. George's 39, Life Chr. 36
Highlights: Jordan Dickson scored six of his nine points in the final 40 seconds and hit the winning shot to carry St. George’s past Life Christian Academy. St. George’s (23-5) shot only 27.3 percent for the game, but benefited from the timely scoring of Dickson, who was only 3 of 16 from the field. With about 40 seconds remaining in the contest, Dickson calmly sank a 3-pointer to draw the game to a tie, 36 to 36. On the next possession, Life Christian Academy’s Joseph Lawyer had the opportunity to give the Eagles (13-15) a lead but missed the front end of the one-and-one. St. George’s grabbed the rebound, and Henry Butler brought the ball up the floor. He penetrated toward the key and kicked the ball out to Dickson who drained the winner from the right corner with about three seconds remaining.
