Boys: Bear Creek School 54, Seattle Lutheran 39
Highlights: The Bear Creek School saved its best for last, erupting for 23 points in the fourth quarter after a dismal second frame that nearly cost them the game.
After leading 16 to 5 after the first quarter, Bear Creek (22-3) could only manage seven points against Seattle Lutheran (16-11) in the second quarter. Their shooting struggles continued in the third frame, and they started the fourth quarter down by two, 33 to 31.
But the hot hand of Bear Creek’s Jamie Meyer, a game-high 20 points, and the steady play of Ryan Strandin, eight points and nine rebounds, proved too much. The Grizzlies outscored the Saints by 17 points in the final eight minutes to put the Seattle Lutheran away for good.
