Boys: Northwest Chr. (Lacey) 54, Napavine 46

Highlights: Northwest Christian needed a fourth quarter scoring binge to edge Napavine and escape with a win. Ryan Fox led all scorers with 19 points, and was instrumental in the closing streak.

The Navigators (16-6) trailed the Tigers (16-13) by four points after three quarters, and experienced scoring woes for the first few minutes of the fourth quarter.

But Northwest Christian caught fire with 4:55 remaining in the final frame and went on a 16 to 3 run — including six points from Fox — to finish the game and Napavine’s season. Northwest Christian outscored Napavine 19 to 7 in the fourth.

Napavine struggled to score all game. The Tigers only shot about 30 percent and they went scoreless for the last 3:50 of the game. Casey Carns grabbed many of the misses on both ends of the floor and notched 16 boards.
