Girls: Napavine 47, Mossyrock 20
Highlights: The Tigers used a combination of presses and traps early and often causing 12 first half Viking turnovers en route to a comfortable 47-20 semifinal win.
The Vikings were outmatched all night long scoring only two points in the first quarter and six in the first half.
The Tiger pressure really got to Vikings’ players as they shot only 19.5 percent from the field and didn’t make a three-point basket the whole game, going 0-10.
Napavine used consistent play on offense and tough nose defense to send the defending champs packing. All but one player on the Napavine roster scored for the Tigers.
The Tigers, with the win, will be making their first state championship game appearance tomorrow night against LaSalle.
