Taylor Morgan dominated the low post with 22 points and 13 rebounds to help Davenport knock off White Swan 57-50 in the first semifinal.
White Swan (21-3), down by 12 at the end of three, cut the Gorilla lead to three late but ran out of time in the end.
Davenport (20-7) used their huge size advantage down low as 6-foot-9 Morgan Scharff made his presence felt with five blocks in the game. Scharff added 10 points, while Jarod Gunning was the only other Gorilla in double figures with 14.
Drew Blodgett, who hit three huge 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, finished with 19 points to lead the Cougars.
Davenport advances to the state final against the winner of Northwest Christian/Garfield-Palouse tomorrow night at 8 p.m. White Swan will play in the third-place game tomorrow against the loser of NWC/GP at 3:30 p.m.

D-port WILL NOT win. Doesn't matter how hard they try. Just check out the foul total at the end of the game.
Bet NWC shoots atleast 10 more foul shots. I have no interest in either team. Just tired of NWC thinking they are all that.
I say that the Davenport squad will present NW Christian with their first loss of the year! Go Go-Rillas!!!!
