According to this Web site, Mossyrock is about 20 miles east of Interstate 5 on Highway 12, and "was named by an early settler for a mossy crag that rises 200 feet above the east end of Klickitat Prairie.'' In case you were wondering, the distance from Mossyrock to Washington, D.C., is exactly 2,460 miles (as the buzzard flies). It only seems like a million.
