Girls: Mossyrock 47, La Salle 46

Highlights: It’s safe to say Mossyrock senior Lexi Belcher is clutch in crunch time. The Vikings guard drained two free throws with 1.9 seconds left, giving Mossyrock a 47-46 win over defending champion La Salle in the State 2B girls championship game Saturday at the Spokane Arena.

Belcher and Tisa Pelletier finished with 10 points apiece for the Vikings, who came all the way back after falling behind 18-6 in the first quarter.

Pelletier also grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds for Mossyrock (24-2), which outrebounded La Salle 46-32.

The second half belonged to the Vikings. Mossyrock erased a nine-point halftime deficit and converted on 11 of their 17 free-throw attempts after halftime. The Lightning was just 5 of 11 from the line in the second half.

Junior Jasmine Stohr led all players with 15 points for La Salle (23-3), which takes home the second-place trophy.
