Girls: Mossyrock 66, Waterville 41

Highlights: Senior guard Lexi Belcher had game-highs of 19 points, 10 rebounds and five assists as Mossyrock routed Waterville 66-41 in a State B girls semifinal game Friday at the Spokane Arena.

The Vikings thoroughly dominated the action in the first half, outscoring the Shockers 37-12. Mossyrock shot 47.1 percent (16-34) from the field in the first half while Waterville converted just 19 percent (4-21) of their shots, including 0 of 7 from beyond the arc.

Junior guard Sarah Petrino tossed in 15 points, including 4 of 7 from 3-point range, and senior guard Corina Allen added 11 points and six rebounds for the Vikings (23-2), who held a slim 38-35 advantage in rebounds.

Senior forward Jacque Brown scored 12 points and pulled down six rebounds to lead the Shockers (22-4), who made just one of their 14 3-point attempts.

Mossyrock advances to the championship game Saturday at 6 p.m. against La Salle, who knocked off Evergreen Lutheran 59-33 earlier in the day.

Waterville will play at 3:30 p.m. against Evergreen Lutheran in the third/sixth place game.
