Colfax repeated as the State 2B champion and Kayla Johnson repeated as MVP.
With Johnson scoring 19 points, the Bulldogs rolled past top-ranked La Salle 52-43.
The Bulldogs shot 57.9 percent in the first half and cashed in on the Lightning's aggressive defense by making 12 of 14 free throws to open a 34-20 lead.
They really didn't slow down much in the third quarter to stretch the lead to 47-26.
La Salle's vaunted defense created about 20 turnovers but not many translated into the easy baskets the Lightning live off of. It didn't help the Lightning shot below 30 percent for most of the game.
Only an 11-0 run in the last few minutes of the game, after Colfax led by 23, kept it somewhat respectable.
Savannah Bonny led La Salle with 14 points. Kaleigh Maltone added 12 for Colfax. Both made the all-tourney team.

With one period to go, Colfax is sporting a 47-26 lead over La Salle.
Probable MVP Kayla Johnson scored six quick points in the third period, giving her 17, and then rested and her teammates protected it.
Colfax shot 58 percent in the first half and 50 percent in the third quarter. Kayleigh Maltone has added 10 points but the bulldogs are getting help for almost everyone.
La Salle is struggling, shooting 27.6 percent in the first half and made 2 of 9 in the third.

After a slow start to the second quarter, with the top offensive players on both teams on the bench with two fouls, the half finished with a flourish and no change, Colfax up 14, 34-20.
Kayla Johnson had 9 points and Colfax has hit 6 of 10 shots to open a 20-6 lead on La Salle. The Lightning made just 2 of 14 shots.
Alicia Ashby came back early for La Salle but Savannah Bonney sat out the first 3 minutes and the Lightning only had two points in the first half of the second period. She definitely settled them down for a big finish.
Johnson, with two fouls, sat out quite a bit but has 11 points.
Free throws are a huge difference has Colfax was shooting bonus early. When La Salle got there the Lightning missed a pair of one-and-ones.

The Trojans have opened up a 25-point cushion in the fourth quarter on the back of oustanding work from Hank Robinson and Tyler Ratkie.
Ratkie floated in a shot from the baseline as time expired in the third quarter to dash any LC hopes of a comeback by giving Pe Ell a 21-point lead going into the fourth.

The Patriots have coughed the ball up in the frontcourt numerous times thus far in the first half, allowing the Trojans to get out and do what is maybe the most dangerous aspect of their team: transition offense.
Hank Robinson has 8 for the Trojans.

On a day where both sides had hoped to be in the late contest, both sides haven't been able to get the ball in the cup.
Morgan Scharff did swat a thunderous block into the La Conner water table, but was whistled for a foul on the play.

Final
Right before passing in the ball with 10 seconds remaining, Reardan freshman Chantel Heath looked at Kelsey Moos and yelled "You want the ball!" It wasn't a question. She was telling her fellow freshman that she was going to get the ball and she better know what to do with it.
Once in her hands, Moos was sent to free throw line and proceeded to coldly knock down a pair of free throws in a one-and-one situation, giving Reardan a 3-point lead with 6.9 seconds left.
Liberty Bell inbounded the ball and Mariah Clements, who had been the leader for the Lions with 19 points inexplicably passed up a 3-point shot and kicked it into the post to Shelby Scott, who converted the bunny, but left no time on the clock, giving the Indians a one-point win 47-46.
End 3rd
Reardan went ice cold switching to the west-end basket, scoring just eight points with three field goals, two by Liz Flowers, who has nine points.
Clements has 16 now for the Lions, whose step-up 3-pointer evened the score at 28-28, the first time it has been even since early in the second. LB could not take a lead, though, as the Indians closed the third with a two-point lead.
Halftime
Kelsey Moos leads all scorers with nine points at halftime and Chantel Heath has added seven for the Indians, who outscored Liberty Bell 15-4 in the second quarter to take a nine-point lead.
The Lions didn't score in the frame until the 1:56 mark on a pair of free throws from Mariah Clements, who has seven to lead LB. The free throws ended a 6:04 scoring drought and a 9-0 Reardan run.
End 1st
After three minutes of no scoring, Chantel Heath finally put the Indians on the board with a free throw. That led to a 9-0 run that gave Reardan a 9-4 lead.
In response, the Mountain Lions scored seven straight to close the quarter, capped by a 3-pointer from Mariah Clements.

The Crusaders survived a second half comeback by the Tigers. Entiat trailed by 11 at halftime and closed the lead to two at the end of the third quarter 33-31. But The Crusaders steeled themselves in the fourth quarter, holding Entiat to 9 points in the final frame. Melanie Shank led all scorers with 17 points.

Final
A emotional farewell for BC senior Jamie Meyer, who has been as valuable to his team as any player at this tournament. The Grizzlies, though, coasted in this game, with Meyer getting plenty of help from his supporting cast. Peterson and Strandin led the way in points, with Strandin dominating in the paint.
Interesting stoppage in play. Colfax may be reverting to its football prowess here in the second half as about five players had to be removed from the game to wipe blood off arms, legs, faces and jerseys. When they say leave it all out on the floor, apparently they mean everything.
End 3rd
Colfax simply looks out of sorts today. It isn't that the Bulldogs have been missing shots, they just aren't taking them. James Robinson led at the half with five points, a far cry from their last two games, when multiple players were lighting up the scoreboard.
The Grizzlies, though, have benefitted from their overall size all game. Lucas Peterson had 17 at the half, and is a physically imposing guard compared to Colfax's trio of smaller guards. And Ryan Strandin has no equal in the paint at 6-feet, 6 inches.

A halfcourt shot from La Conner's Brandon Willey hit backiron and backboard as the Braves couldn't quite bring it all the way back, falling 62-59 to Liberty Christian.
Willey, who had already hit two 3-pointers on the night, led the Braves with 19 points. No other La Conner player scored in double-figures, however, as the Braves shot 4 of 23 from beyond the 3-point line.
Cody Brockman notched another double-double, going for 25 points and 13 rebounds.

Davenport's fate was sealed on the offensive glass with 20 seconds to play in the game when Trojan senior Joseph Vetter outjumped Morgan Scharff and tipped a Tyler Ratkie missed free throw out to Ratkie with the Gorillas trailing 51-44.
Ratkie went 1-for-2 at the foul line, and Davenport missed a shot on the following possession to essentially put the nail in the coffin.

With time winding down in the third quarter, sophomore Joey Gunning sank a three ball that would have been good from NBA range to knot the game at 41 going into the fourth quarter.
This is shaping up to be a fantastic game in the fourth quarter with a trip to the title game on the line.

At the midway point of the game, the usual suspects have been relatively quiet.
Morgan Scharff has just four points for the Gorillas, and Hank Robinson of Pe Ell has matched his tally through the first half.
Cole Evers, meanwhile, has 16 off the bench for Davenport, while Lerry Tolliver came off the bench and knocked down two 3-pointers for the Trojans.

It wasn't always pretty on offense but the defense was stellar and LaSalle earned a berth in the championship game for the fourth time in five seasons with a 45-27 win over offensively-challenge Napavine.
Napavine pushed a six-point halftime lead to 30-20 at the end of three quarters. An early surge put it at 13 but the Lightning didn't have a field goal for the final 4:59. The Tigers couldn't take advange, getting just one field goal in the final 4:12.
La Salle missed its first eight shots but still led 9-6 after one quarter of the first semifinal because the Tigers had 9 turnovers. Ally Hernandez came off the bench to kick-start the Lightning, which was 4 of 17, with two buckets, including a 3.
Napavine ended up with 15 first-half turnovers and scoring droughts of 4:48 and 5:21, but never fell behind by more than eight because the Lightning shot 8 of 32.

Davenport has gotten out in transition and picked up some buckets on the break, and Cole Evers already has 16 points off the bench through the second quarter.
The Trojans lead 24-23 with 3:45 to go in the second.

Halftime
The Tigers have made a game of things with a relatively strong second quarter by Dylan Crawley.
Senior Joey Bisson started hot and finished hot scoring 14 first-half points, spending most of his time in 3-point territory to lead the Warriors. The goal from this point on has to be to avoid the same kind of letdown that they suffered in the second half against Liberty Christian Friday.
End 1st
The first quarter was all Warriors as they scored the first 11 points and 14 before Entiat finally scored its first field goal at the 3:07 mark. Joey Bisson from beyond the arc and Jordan Foley look like a potent inside-out combination in the early going.
