Highlights: The Crusaders held Dayton to 1-for-12 shooting in the first quarter, then led by 12 points in the final two minutes but still had to hold on to win. Trailing 44-32, the Bulldogs scored 10 straight points capped by Brooke Hoon's 3-pointer to make it 44-42 with 13 seconds left. But Colleen Woods converted one of two free throws at the other end and Dayton missed its final shot. Woods finished with 15 points to lead all scorers. Julie DeKoekkoek, also a junior post, notched 13 points, nine rebounds, three assists and four steals. No Bulldog hit double-figures as senior Stephanie Turner's nine points was the team high. Turner also had seven rebounds, five steals and two assists. Dayton was just 15-53 (28.3 percent) from the field, going 3-15 (20 percent) on 3-pointers. The teams also combined for 43 turnovers and 32 fouls, with three players fouling out.
