Highlights: Nik Nilson's rebound basket at the buzzer gave a Huskies a heart-pounding win in the trophy game for third and sixth place. Morton had trailed 46-33 in the fourth but eventually outscored the Lions by 14 points in that quarter. MLC's Riggs Yarbro fed Daniel Timofeyev for a basket that made it 51-50 at 1:02. Then Trent Atkins drew a foul with 2.3 seconds left at the other end. Atkins hit the first and missed the second but Nilson was there to grab the miss and put it back in for the game-winner. Senior post Nilson finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Taylor Weist had 15 points and eight boards, five at the offensive end. Atkins got 13 points, four rebounds and four steals. Senior Josh Munoz led the Lions with 15 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. Timofeyev added 13 points, five steals, four rebounds and three assists. Moses Lake Christian Academy was making its debut at state. The Huskies claimed their ninth trophy in 18 appearances.
