Highlights:
Jason Shulhauser free throw's with 00.8 showing on the clock finally ended a triple-overtime loser-out contest in the Crusaders' favor.
The Cook brothers had staved off elimination for Tekoa-Oakesdale at the end of regulation and the first two OTs. Austin Cook converted two free throws to tie the score at 46, and force the initial extra period. Then Kelly Cook's baseline jumper sent the game into its second OT, and Casey Cook scored the tying basket for a third overtime.
But Shulhauser and Titus Palmquist each hit field goals in the final four minutes to set up the deciding free throw. Senior Jeff Gudaitis had 21 points, five rebounds and five steals to lead Tacoma Baptist. Shulhauser finished with 13 points and seven rebounds. Barclay Tuell collected 10 points, six boards, three steals and two assists.
Freshman guard Kelly Cook's 23 points topped all scorers. Austin Cook added 15 points and Casey Cook 11. Junior forward Alex Hovde posted 12 points and pulled down 16 rebounds.
