Highlights: The Panthers made a smashing debut at state with their 40-point victory over Darrington Wednesday night. Cusick (25-2) jumped ahead 11-2 in the first eight minutes, and finished with a 20-point quarter. Kim Bluff was one of four double-figure scorers, the senior forward getting 15 points and nine rebounds. Cara Shepherd added 14 points, four boards and three steals. Taunie Cullooyah had 12 points, six steals and four assists. Misty Ostlie contributed 11 points, six steals and four assists. Junior Katie Nations netted a team-high six points for the Loggers (14-16). Tessa Harris had seven rebounds. The Panthers amassed 22 steals and forced 33 turnovers while holding Darrington to just 21.7 (10/46) shooting from the floor.
