Wahkiakum 47, Pateros 44

Highlights: After the Mules missed four free throws in the final minute, senior Shane Kehrli stepped up and made both his foul shots with 3.1 seconds left as Wahkiakum won its opening-round game Wednesday afternoon.
The Billygoats (20-5) had overcome a 15-point first-half deficit when Chad Vanlith nailed a jumper to make it 41-39, Pateros, at 2:42. But Kehrli promptly answered for Wahkiakum, then Tanner Tramblie's 3-pointer put the Mules (21-4) ahead for good with 1:28 remaining.

Tramblie, a senior wing, finished with 16 points and five rebounds. Kehrli, also a senior, added 14 points.
Senior guard Dustin Zahn popped in 24 points, including six 3-pointers, to lead all scorers but was the lone Billygoat in double figures.
The Mules finished 7 of 15 from the line while Pateros didn't attempt a single free throw.
