Highlights: The Crusaders outscored Clallam Bay 14-6 in the fourth quarter to pull away for their opening-round win Wednesday at state.
Senior Jared McConahy paced Northwest Christian's balanced offense with 11 points on 5-for-7 shooting, plus seven rebounds. Teammates Jesse Vowels and Karl Richardson each had 10 points, the latter also getting seven boards for NWC (25-3).
Melchor Ramos was the lone double-figure scorer at 10 points to lead the Bruins (18-5), the senior guard adding four rebounds and three steals.
