Selkirk 53, Neah Bay 50

Highlights: Travis Anderson really took charge for the Rangers in their opening-round win over Neah Bay Wednesday.
The sophomore forward hit two free throws to put Selkirk up 49-48 at 3:10. After teammate Matt Reed bounced in the go-ahead basket with 2:24 remaining, Anderson sank two more free throws to make it 51-48 with 57.5 seconds left. CJ Heilman answered for Neah Bay, but Zimmerman then drew a charge from Timothy Greene in the final eight seconds. Ranger Collin Johnson's loose-ball basket completed the scoring.
Zimmerman finished with a team-high 15 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Junior Clint March added 11 points while Derek MacArthur had 10 points and three assists for Selkirk (18-10).
Senior Robert Arnold poured in a game-high 19 points on 7-for-11 shooting to lead the Red Devils (18-7). Henry Cross contributed 11 points, five rebounds and two assists.
