La Salle 54, DeSales 38

Highlights: The Lightning bolted to a 24-point lead and went on to beat DeSales in first-round action Wednesday.
Senior guard Carlie Gosser sparked La Salle by scoring 13 of her 14 points in the first half, going 4-for-5 from field, including all three of her 3-point attempts. Monica Schneider, a 5-foot-7 freshman guard, totaled 13 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Jasmine Stohr, also a freshman, added 10 points for the Lightning (23-2).
Senior center Andrea Wujek led the Irish (18-8) with nine points and six rebounds. DeSales shot just 19.5 percent from the field (8-41), hitting only one of six 3-pointers.
