  The question assumes that there is a "magic industry" out there and if we could just attract it to Spokane, our problems would be solved. That's just not the case. We need to create a "business-friendly" climate in Spokane that would allow any good business, existing or new, to thrive.

  Our welcome mat is out for all business and industry. This community thrives on its diverse business environment, and we must encourage all businesses that value the diversity of our economic base and outstanding quality of life.
