Flagging devotionAs I sit and look at my flag waving in the wind, I wonder what has happened to all the flags that were purchased after 9/11. Driving through town, I am amazed at the few number of flags flying today, Veterans Day, a day in which we take time to remember and thank those who have fought to keep us free and are fighting now. We are Americans and we should be proud of our veterans, and a simple way to show that is to fly the American flag and let it fly in the wind freely, just as we move in our country freely. Pumpkins, scarecrows and other fall decorations and soon Christmas decorations abound outside people's homes but not an American flag. How sad. Thank you to all who have fought for freedom, are fighting now and, God forbid, may fight in the future. I, for one, am thankful for your duty.
