HOENER,
Lisa Louise

Went to be with the Lord October 31, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Lisa was born to Harry and Catherine Hoener July 18th, 1961. She grew up in Elk, Washington where she remained throughout her life. Lisa attended Riverside High School, where she graduated in 1979. After high school, she attended Spokane Community College for a brief time and then went to work for International Harvester in 1979. The name later changed to Husky International, where Lisa (with the exception of a few years) worked until her condition no long allowed her to.
Lisa is survived by her daughter Angela Wagner and husband Ronald of
Rathdrum, Idaho, a son Michael Sheffler and wife Aleah of Santa Barbara, California and longtime companion Warren Sheffler of Elk, Washington. Other survivors include her father Harry Hoener and stepmother Lorene of Athol, Idaho; her sisters Sharon Seemann and husband Larry; LeAnna Watkins and husband Wayne all of Spokane Valley; a brother Wayne Hoener and his wife Rhonda of Elk, WA; a brother Don Hoener and his wife CaRon of Elk, WA, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Lisa is preceded in death by her mother Catherine Hoener, and cousin Nona Ziegler as well as her grandparents on both sides.
Lisa enjoyed spending time outdoors and took great pride in her yard that she nicknamed "Mom's Park". Lisa loved spending time with her family, especially her niece Rachel that she helped care for on the weekends. The genuine kindness and thoughtfulness that Lisa expressed to every person who crossed her path will truly be missed. A celebration of Lisa's life will be held November 7, 2009 at 1 PM at Country Church of the Open Bible in Elk. A graveside service at Elk Cemetery will follow and then a reception at Camden Grange.
