Transferred to Youngstown Ursuline High as a junior where he played quarterback for head coach Jim Vivo…also played basketball…FRESHMAN year attended Mathews High…Youngstown Vindicators pre-season most promising athlete…SOPHOMORE year earned first team all-league…threw nine touchdown passes and over 2,000 yards…Trumbull County honorable mention…JUNIOR season transferred to Youngstown Ursuline…threw for 1,600 yards and five touchdowns…rushed for 500 yards and 11 touchdowns…first team Steel Valley Conference…Ohio honorable mention…SENIOR year threw for 2,300 yards, rushed for nearly 500 yards and completed 60 percent of his passes…led team to 14-1 record and Division IV State Championship…threw for 25 touchdowns, including 20 in last seven games…first team All-State and conference…Division IV Player of the Year…CBS Sports All-American…nominated to play in Ohio’s North-South All-Star game.
