BURNETT’S AZUSA PACIFIC CAREER: FRESHMAN (1998-99): Redshirt season for head coach Vic Shealy and the Cougars…team won national NAIA title. RS-FRESHMAN: 1999-00): Played in 11 of 12 games for new head coach Peter Shinnick…started six games at cornerback…made 40 tackles, forced four fumbles, deflected six passes, and made three interceptions…team was 9-3 and advanced to the semifinals of the NAIA playoffs.
WSU highlights RS-SOPHOMORE (2000-01): Transferred to WSU and did not see any action. RS-JUNIOR (2001-02): Saw limited action.
