I'll focus on safety, security
I know personally the importance of the Government Services. Safety and Security are my first priority. In our new city we shall not see a decline in these essential services if I am on the City Council.
I started the Central Valley SCOPE station (Sheriff Community Oriented Policing Effort) along with other dedicated individuals. It began as an idea, it is now serving the Central Valley School attendance area and it is only one example of what we as citizens are capable of doing when we work together to solve the needs of our community. I know personally the value of bringing citizens into the process and the necessity of the commitment of the Office of the Sheriff to these professional volunteers as they team with the Deputies and Detectives.
I also know the dollar value of the professionals in the Spokane County Roads Department. Their Performance Based Budgeting Maintenance program and team work between staff allows them to save dollars to be passed on to the Construction Department for seed money for four to one grant dollars. Their commitment to the community and to support and work with the new city staff make them a valuable resource.
The Fire Districts have an extensive investment in experienced personnel, state of the art equipment and management which makes it possible for them to respond to crisis and save lives. I have personal knowledge of these skills in action and am committed to continue protecting the children of this community and their families by working with these professionals.
We are not starting from scratch. I will build on the excellent services available to this new city from the County Sheriff, Roads Departments, Fire Districts and others and work tirelessly with the support of committed citizens committees to see that our city in the Valley gets off to a good start.
Thank you for your support!
