Davenport memory

Submitted by:
Sheila and Roger Babb

An Aunt of mine that worked at the hotel, said they were asking for more banquet waitresses. This was in 1952. I met Roger, Who had worked there as a busboy. He told me all about the hotel. He told me about the washing of the silver by silver John, the bird room, and that the hotel had their own bakery. There was always something interesting happening and there were always famous people coming to the hotel. Then before I graduated from LC, Roger went into the army. We were married in September 1953.
