Unveil the Trail - Come and help REI clean Mile 31 of the Centennial Trail for the fifth annual spring clean up of the Centennial Trail. Shuttlebirds Tatting Guild workshop - There will be workshops, displays and vendors. Participants meet April 20, 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. and April 21, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The display and vendor section is open to the public April 20, 3-8 p.m., and April 21, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. April 20 and 21. Garden

Vote for Your Favorite Tree - Mobius Kids will be hosting voting for one of two trees, with the winner to be planted at Riverfront Park the Friday before Earth Day. Every member or paid visitor to Mobius Kids during the month of April will be eligible to vote for the tree. The ballots will be available at the front desk. The two trees that have been approved for the site at Riverfront Park are the Kentucky Coffee Tree and the Hackberry. Winner will be announced April 20 at 2 p.m., followed by tree planting. Chipping and Compost Day - Spokane County residents may bring their natural yard debris for free chipping and disposal. Material not allowed includes branches over five inches in diameter, stumps, root balls, soil, lumber and trash. Fiber to Fashion Demonstration - The events includes shearing sheep, alpacas and angora goats and will feature local crafters spinning the freshly sheared fiber into various projects. Owl Hoot Shows - The HOOT program from the West Valley Outdoor Learning Center presents a fun-filled program on owls, their adaptations and other amazing facts about these night predators.
