The Democratic campaigns are calling today, and the country will be anxious to see the results of Saturday’s caucuses. But the fickle, intense light of presidential politics won’t shine on us for long.
Spokane becomes a major battleground in the Democratic presidential race today as the two candidates’ campaigns stage major – and slightly overlapping – events within a few miles of each other. Sen. Hillary Clinton will hold a town hall meeting at the West Central Community Center starting at 2:30 p.m.
About three miles due south, Michelle Obama, wife of Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, will hold a “Rally for Change” at 4 p.m. at the Fox Theater in downtown.
