Correct: Polls are not only NOT representative of outcomes [being that they are only a partiality result reflective within that given and accepted level of tolerance (+/- 2.5%), you'll notice that polling companies will often come with their numbers and varying levels of tolerances. Not good. Anything outside the bounds of +/- 2.5% are invalid. For example, Zogby is notorious for having their range of errors upwards of +/- 4.5%.]

Correct: I'll make this clear: Unless you have > 1000 valid samples to base the basis of a poll on, it's standard deviation is outside the range of any valid mathematical solution.

POLLS: As a mechanical engineer and computer scientist my advanced theoretical and applied mathematics includes Probability and Statistical Analysis for Engineering and Physicists.

I'll make this clear: Unless you have > 1000 valid samples to base the basis of a poll on, it's standard deviation is between the range of any valid mathematical solution.

When you go beyond a tolerance of +/- 2.5 % you introduce error greater than the tolerance itself and thus nullifies the results.

Now, combine this with your sampling pool [Domain Set/Range of Demographics], your Set of Questions and their own set of requirements [elimination of bias and impartiality is critical] leaves you with the attempt of applying a Second Order Polynomial by producing a best-fit linear curve when graphed for change in slope reveals a major flaw.

Firstly, it's not a Second Order Polynomial. It's a Fifth Order Polynomial. That makes it a function, f(x) =ax^5 + bx^4 + cx^3 + dx^2 +ex^1 + fx^0 {Any variable raised to the zero power is 1 representing a fixed constant}.

What should you get from all of this quantitative analytical overview?

Polls are not only NOT representative of outcomes [being that they are only an partially reflective they are given that tolerance. You'll notice that polling companies will come with their numbers and varying levels of tolerances. Not good. Anything outside the bounds of +/- 2.5% are invalid] they aren't even valid without their Questioning set being verified as valid. This measure is based upon it's level of impartiality and non-bias sampling.

To make a long story short, the greater the pool of votes, the better the sampling curve fits and best fits the populations choice.

To anyone who has thought this through it's clear that WASHINGTON STATE NEEDS TO DROP THE CAUCUS PROCESS.

The Democrats need to put forth a candidate who can beat McCain and that isn't Clinton. Six polls taken in the past two weeks show that in a match-up between Clinton and McCain show either an even match-up or Clinton winning but such few percentage points that they fall within the margin of error.

The same polls show that in an Obama-McCain match-up Obama would win by a margin GREATER THAN CLINTON'S AND OUTSIDE THE MARGIN OF ERROR.

If the Democrats set forth with the lesser chance of winning against McCain, then they are as stupid who voted for Bush not once but twice.

We need a Dem in the White House but that can't happen unless we nominate a candidate who can win against McCain and that isn't Clinton, despite her merits and experience.

That's why this momma is for Obama -- because he can WIN.

I shook Hillary's hand yesterday after standing in the snow and wind for nearly two hours waiting for her to arrive after not being able to enter the building. When Hillary finally arrived, she took the time and the risk to come up to a line of strangers and thank us for being there. Her first words were, "Bless your hearts..." Yes, I am in love. A gentleman who walked with my friend and I back to the car stated that he would remember shaking hands with her for the rest of his life. He said, "She is going to be the next President of the United States." That just sums up what happened yesterday afternoon on a cold, windy street in the West Central neigborhood. Not the Fox Theatre, but the 'hood. Spokane. Bless your heart, Hillary. Thank you.

After 8 years of George Bush, is this country sick in many parts of its body? Economy? Social Security? War? Fighting over religion? Education?

Yes.

If you were seriously sick in this many parts of your body, who would you go to for help?

a) George Bush?
b) A Republican?
c) A New Country Medical Intern?
d) A Surgeon with Colleagues that Also Know What They're Doing and Who can Start to Treat You Tomorrow?

Just like me, you'd choose the Surgeon with Colleagues--Hillary Clinton! She's the one who can do it!

Can't help but love the comment regarding the fact that women make only 68% of what men make. Also, I like the one that says Hillary has substance; not a frothy latte! Most of all I like the person who took the time to say that Hillary is her own strong person who will work 24/7 to get the job done. This nation, including the governor (I used to call her my governor) is caught up in a frenzy over a pretty face (BO). Get serious and do the right thing by supporting Hillary Clinton. P.S. Christine just got removed from my "yes" vote list. She needs to make better decisions...or was she promised a better position in D.C.? Hmmm.

I voted for Hillary today, and I will explain why I did. Hillary is not as liberal as the former President Clinton. She is a DLC Democrat, very middle of the political spectrum and difficult to undermine by trying to label her as a liberal. She really is liberal on only one issue: universal healthcare. She is for being vigilant in defense of the United States against enmies both foreign and domestic, even if it requires a massive use of force. Her comments about the military support this. General Wesley Clark, former NATO commander and presidential candidate supports her candidacy and is a possible running mate if she wins the nomination. Senator Clinton has a long history of public service. Yes, she was first lady of Arkansas and the United States while her husband served as governor and president. This is not what makes her an excellent candidate for president. Here is what does:

1] A fundamental belief in universal healthcare for all Americans, based on you having choice between your private insurance or a government-based insurance based on the Congressional model.

2] A strong and active military presence in the world.
Wise use of the services to defend American assets and policy around the globe. An end to the Iraq War and a realignment of our military strategy and priorities so that we can actually respons appropriately to real threats -not imaginary ones. Senator Clinton supports the NATO military mission in Afghanistan and the hunt for Al Qeada there and in other countries.

3] Senator Clinton is in favor of allowing the $200 billion dollar tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans to lapse and the funds to be realigned to pay for the needed medical insurance needs of Americans. She believes in fair trade, not necessarily free trade, a serious departure from her husband's policies in support of NAFTA.

4] Senator Clinton is for penalizing undocuments, illegal immigrants in America and securing the borders with both Canada and Mexico to protect the United States from illicit drugs, human trafficking, and migrant workers coming into the country as an invisible and exploitable workforce. Hillary would also allow for a path to citizenship, after a civil penalty for breaking our laws, yet would not force deportation and the division of familes and communities. Hillary also supports severe penalties for businesses that knowlingly hire illegal workers. This is a very reasonable immigration policy.

5] Senator Clinton, according to many sources, has travelled to 84 different countries as an emissary of this nation either in the capacity of the first lady, or as a United States Senator from New York. These foreign visits feed a knowledge of the world that is extrmemely important for the president to possess, as the past eight years have demonstrated with too much clarity for all of us. Hillary understands our role as the most powerful nation on earth economically, militarily, and culturally as a mecca for all people who want to know freedom and democracy...we are the the most recognizable model. She understands how serious this is.

There are many more reasons for supporting Senator Clinton for the Democratic nomination for president. But for the same reason that as a caucus goer I am restricted to very limited persuasion, every voter should read and research to know for himself or herself why to support a candidate.

On Obama...I just listened to his speech from Virginia. His policy ideas are not as solid as Hillary's. He is for an 80 percent reduction in carbon emissions in the next 30 years, through taxing companies for their emissions. At the same time he will increase minimum wages to the point that there are no working poor people in America. His social ideas take the country toward McGovern and Dukakis Demicratic principles, not Clintonian [DLC] principles. Do I need to remind you all that President Clinton had to deal with a war on his presidency from within the Congress [Newt Gingrich's Republican majority Congress and Contract with America?] The 1990's began with a Bush led economic collapse and it was fiscal balance that brought it back from the brink, the very same DLC Democratic principles President Clinton promoted. He ran from the center of the political spectrum and appealed to people with reality, not promises. Hillary Clinton is a realist as well, who will be a bloody knuckle bulldog Democrat for the people. She doesn't have the speaking cadence of Barak Obama, or his height and charisma, but those are shallow qualities that mean nothing. She does have he knowledge, work ethic, and history as a fighter for the causes that make people's lives better. An advisor to the House Watergate Commission in the 1970's, a decade as forst lady of Arkansas, almost a decade as first lady of the United States, two terms in the United States Senate...this is a career to be proud of and while there are more qualified candida

And when I mean primary I am referring to the delegate votes for the overall national primary scene. So far, Spokane County [notoriously RED] already has a democrat majority of votes recorded.

http://wei.secstate.wa.gov/WEI/Spokane/Current+Election+Statistics.htm

It looks like that total of recorded ballots is almost 60,000 with the Democrats holding the lead with 30,554 total casts.

Explain to this Libertarian, how it is that the delegates are tied to a minority state caucus? I realize this is stage 1 of the actual delegate vote for the state, but it only inflates the egos on TV to project future winners.

It makes zero sense that any state has a small, hypervigilant group of voters cast the delegate vote in their state primary.

So far, over 50,000 ballots have been recorded in Spokane County, alone.

You won't see more than 30,000 total votes for this caucus primary which is supposed to be an proclaimed accurate representation of the State of Washington?

I went to see Hillary Clinton yesterday in Spokane, I live in the Tri Cities. I am so glad I went. Hillary is the person we need to get into the White House. It is apparent she lost to Obama today by almost 2 to 1... so all we need to do is to convience one person each to vote for her who was perviously commited to Obama, we got it made...Keep on talking... Hillary was incredible..

SpokesmanReview: Can we get a blog that's in the 21st century. You know, with a spell checker and a form field wider than 40 characters and height greater than 20 lines?

It's all free. It doesn't cost a dime.

I'm a registered Libertarian. As a fiscal conservative and social progressive [the very definition of Libertarian] I find it absolutely laughable at the many rah-rah comments regarding Barack Obama.

-- He can proclaim to have not voted on the "conflict in Iraq" [Get this through your all of your heads when you make this claim. ONLY CONGRESS can DECLARE WAR. There WAS NO DECLARATION OF WAR in IRAQ. READ THE LEVIN AMENDMENT. She stated what the actual Amendment has written and gave her reasons for voting against it.]

--On this claim of not voting for the Iraq "war." I can make the same claim and be equally justified. How come? I'm not a US Senator and neither was Obama a US Senator when this emergency measure was voted on.

--As a mechanical engineer and computer scientist I find it ludicrous that no one bothers to ask the Scientific Bodies [Physicists, American Society of ME, CE and Materials Engineers, Nuclear Engineers, etc] how they view the candidates.

Of all the candidates, Mrs. Clinton was THE ONLY CANDIDATE with a Comprehensive Science Plan that went down into the weeds on NSF Funding, Research and more.

Obama wants to leave the investment in Science up to the Patent System.

As someone who has a background in this abysmal Patent System I can attest to that being equivalent to the KISS OF DEATH for Science, advancement and innovation.

I expect that view to only come from REPUBLICANS.

I grew up in a GOP Family. However, they were Teddy Roosevelt Republicans.

Stop just watching TV. You want to know what the US Constitution says? Go buy a copy. Download it from http://www.usconstitution.net/

You want to know our policies around the globe? Go download them.

Stop just watching TV and listening to opinions and rhetoric.

I'm watching CNN now and they are pleased that Obama is winning the caucus in Nebraska and Washington State.

I quote, ``The fact is Obama is winning and that is good.''

I went to WSU and admire the Edward R. Murrow School of Broadcasting/Journalism.

These Yellow Journalists know nothing of objectivity.

I don't care what party, what candidate, or what ideology you want to ride the coattails of, if you can't use the brain you were given and the Reason [so famously shown by Sir Thomas Paine] we have within then you are nothing but a slave to the system.

For the sake of disclosure, I voted Clinton.

Her plans best match those of the classical Libertarian and I find it repugnant the notion people fall in line like sheep [historically proven out to be factual] and vote for the next leader who talks in general terms and moves to the next subject when the focus of rhetoric turns to specifics and reality.

Hillary Clinton is the real thing. She is smart, does her homework and has made a positive difference in this Country.

If Senator Obama represents change, why hasn't he been successful in any major piece of U.S. Policy? He has had enough time to enact laws that would benefit Americans, including addressing the war in Iraq, but his lack of experience seems pretty obvious to folks who work on Capitol Hill.

Obama delegates tried to suggest that Hillary is polarizing as reflected in the polls. However, if you look at her accomplishments they are extensive as compared to the junior Senator from Illinois. The reason folks (mostly Men) think Hillary is polarizing is because she is assertive and stands up for families.

My vote is for Hillary Clinton, the next President of the United States.

Idaho pleas for you to vote for Hillary
5:58 AM Feb 9

I call bullsh** on this commenter. You bring evidence to my blog. I'm a democrat and know legislators, etc., here in Idaho.

In my life, I have not seen that many women with the character, the preparation and dedication of women of the caliber of Senator Clinton. She portraits what this country is really about: Hard Work, Innovating Ideas, and Commitment to our Nation.

George Bush was elected on a "Change"
platform with no details. Now Obama wants us to vote for him based on change, not too many details. George Bush was very charming too.
Obama was not in a position to vote on the Iraq war, so he really shouldn't say which way he would have voted. He didn't have the "insider information given to congress at the time. He also wouldn't have been under any of the pressures. Hindsight is 20/20.

You know I have to agree about the bologna sandwich is Hillary, latte is Obama comment. Quite right,

Obama is a jazzed up frothy, jolt of caffeine with no substance or sustanence. Hillary is possibly familiar, maybe not that exciting, but gets the job done, feeds you and maintains your body.

If my only choice is latte or bologna sandwich, sandwich wins! Good analogy.

Latte's are also consumed by the borgeoise who can afford them and have never gone hungry. Bologna sandwiches feed an awful lot of working class Americans.

Obama is a latte a whole lot of froth!

The health of our nation is poor. 3,000 innocent babies are lost each day! Hillary, what about the Health of these little ones?

Does Hillary support the DRAFT??? I know, for a fact OBAMA stated " I wll re-enstate the DRAFT if I'm elected PRESIDENT ".

Does Hillary support the DRAFT??? I know, for a fact OBAMA stated " I wll re-enstate the DRAFT if I'm elected PRESIDENT.

Can't wait for Hillary to be called President! I love her! She has given her whole life to help this country, you can see her honesty in her body language. She is caring and respectfull. I am sure the other candidate is also good and has good intentions but for me Hillary has the experience she has been through a lot, I respect that. She deserves this , has worked hard for it, and has a really experienced partner and daughter. She has my vote!!

If ignorance is bliss, half the writers to this blog are high on happiness! Re: Shirley's comment from Feb. 8th: She claims Hillary Clinton's only experience was during her First Lady years. The facts: Hillary has been a United States Senator since 2001. She easily won re-election in New York (over 60%) in 2006. There are MANY Republicans who have worked with her in the Senate and respect her. This has been reported in numerous newspaper and magazine articles.

Democrats need to stop slinging mud at each other - this only helps fuel the fire for Republicans. No matter who your preference is - Clinton or Obama, research your facts. Even a 10 year-old can see much of the negativity about Hillary stems from her assertiveness and the lie Bill told on the witness stand. Do not hold her husband's past against her...she has a much stronger character and she can be as good or even better President.

Idaho pleas for you to vote for Hillary
5:58 AM Feb 9

Please vote for Hillary!! Consider how your neighbors from Idaho voted. Idaho selected Obama because Idaho saw it as a chance to exploit the fact that Idaho votes for a half African man. Let's show the world Idaho isn't racist was their campaign (CDA Democratic party) slogan. Idaho democrats even wrote articles proclaiming Obama was raised by his 100% white mother and his 100% white grandparents. I live in Idaho and it is embarrassing enough that it is a far right wing nut state. I was horrified with the Idaho Democrats tactics and reasoning for Obama. There was no logic or opportunity given to Hillary. We were railroaded by our own Democratic party in Idaho. Don't let this happen in Washington. Vote for Hillary for the right reasons!!!

I am so disappointed to see the number of negative posts here on the thread for comments about Hillary's visit. Of 30 posts, I count 14 from Obama supporters coming in to throw insults at Hillary and sing their praises of Obama. In the Obama thread there is only one that they claim is from a Hillary supporter. So is that proof of his superiority as a candidate? No. Sadly it only proves a lack of respect from the other campaign, which I had heard about but not personally witnessed until now. In my opinion, if the only way you can make your candidate look good is by critizing and demeaning the others, then I don't have faith in that candidate at all. When I get information from a candidate or their campaign/supporters I'm more interested in the strength of that person, not the weaknesses of someone else.

It's so disheartening to see our party eating itself from the inside out. Again. It's cost us the last two elections, folks. Let's not let it take another. I'm for Hiliary and I will truly be crushed if Obama gets the nomination, but crushed or not I will still give my support to him as a Democratic candidate.

To those of you who take such joy in slinging mud at Hillary (with as much veracity as any hardcore conservative, I should say,) were there scandals and problems during Bill Clinton's term in office? Sure there were. Every administration has its good and bad. There's no getting around it. But you have to weigh the good against the bad and the good was really good - my husband and I had well paying jobs, substantial savings to send our kids to college, a nice home, excellent health coverage - in a nutshell, prosperity, all of which we lost over the last 8 years, and I'd like to have some hope again that we can get that back. Listening to Hillary Clinton today gave me hope for the first time in years that things will get better. I fully believe she wants the presidency so she can have the opportunity to help this country and I have faith she can do that.

As for the bad from the last Clinton administration, yes there was bad but I was brought up to believe that mistakes are an important part of learning. She's already been through the wringer and learned from her mistakes as well as her successes. That's what she means when she says she's ready to step into the presidency from day one. No acclimation, no learning curve. She's already been there, is already vetted. I believe she will make a far better president than her husband.

I was on the fence before but Hillary's talk today, after hearing and seeing her sincerity first hand, seeing it in her eyes, I'll be voting for her. The rest of my family will too and as many of my friends as I can convince. And I'll do that by telling them what's good about Hillary, not by wasting my time in bemoaning the negative about Obama.

Bologna- That is how you spell it. and all i have to say, is come January 2009 we will be swearing in our first female elected President! Go Hillary!

As democrats we owe our vote to Hillary. The notion that she may be less "electable" than Barack is a lot of media spin that unfortunately has been gobbled up by a lot of otherwise intelligent people...Barack has never had to stand up to the rigors of a national campaign where frankly Hillary has lived the barrage of the national media for the last 15 years . She knows exactly how to stand up to that...the hounds will surely come out on the national scene and he will be much more of a gamble. Hillary is sincere, competent, hard working, and conveying priorities long held and passionately fought, lined up to a tee. Why is that not apparent if you stop and view her public life? (please spare me all the scrutinizing of her private life) As a nation, we will have to wait a long time to find antother candidate, man or woman, as qualified as her.

Hillary is last week's baloney sandwich you find molding in the fridge. Obama is your first taste of latte.

Just remember one thing: In this election we will need a contrast between two sides. Not just a lighter version of the other side.

Obama stood up against the war when it was totally unpopular to do so.

He doesn't accept money from lobbyists.

He is going to institute a real living wage for people.

These three reasons make him so much more of a contrast to McCain than Hillary. If we have Hillary, it will just be Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum.

And you have no idea how much more stuff there is that the right-wing has been preparing to throw out if Clinton is the nominee. You have no idea. The CPAC people have already made a film called "Hillary - The Movie" It's not Hillary's fault, but do we really want to back to all that? Is that what we really want?

Thank you Hillary! Thank you for having respect for the WHOLE state of Washington. I have lived here for 30 years and am tired of always being runner up to Seattle. While Michelle Obama is great, Senator Clinton demonstrated to Spokane and Eastern Washington the respect the area deserves by showing up in person today. Not only did she take the time to come to Spokane, but she demonstrated knowledge and understanding of not only national issues, but issues unique to our area as well. I too am moved by Obama's speaking ability, but I am more moved by Senator Clinton's care for our fair city. Spokane County went blue in 2006...let's keep it that way this November! Hillary, you've got my support!

I am absolutely stunned to see people here talking about how experienced and progressive Hillary Clinton is.

First off, Barack Obama has more LEGISLATIVE experience than she does. He's been a legislator for 11 years now.

I'm very sorry, but being a First Lady, while valuable in seeing how things run, is NOT the same as legislative experience.

Secondly, Hillary Clinton is NOT progressive at all. She is affiliated with the DLC which is basically Republican-lite. And she has taken more than $800,000 in campaign contributions from LOBBYISTS this election cycle. Barack Obama has received NOT ONE DIME from lobbyists. HE DOES NOT TAKE MONEY FROM LOBBYISITS.

Barack Obama got an A+ from the National Conservation League! Hillary got a C-! I just wish people would do their research. Hillary Clinton is more of the same when Global Warming needs to be stopped. Obama can achieve this with his sound environmental platform.

Humanity for Hillary Clinton

I agree with this quote from Robin Morgan-
http://www.womensmediacenter.com/ex/020108.html

I support Hillary Rodham because she’s the best qualified of all candidates running in both parties. I support her because her progressive politics are as strong as her proven ability to withstand what will be a massive right-wing assault in the general election. I support her because she knows how to get us out of Iraq. I support her because she’s refreshingly thoughtful, and I’m bloodied from eight years of a jolly “uniter” with ejaculatory politics. I needn’t agree with her on every point. I agree with the 97 percent of her positions that are identical with Obama’s—and the few where hers are both more practical and to the left of his (like health care). I support her because she’s already smashed the first-lady stereotype and made history as a fine senator, because I believe she will continue to make history not only as the first US woman president, but as a great US president.

As for the “woman thing”?

Me, I’m voting for Hillary not because she’s a woman—but because I am.

I cant believe all the Pro Campaigners one side and then the other,It really disturbs me how weak our choices really are,

I'm a Union man from a Union Family and have been raised to vote democrat, as our job market has always prevailed under a democratic leadership and yes i have seen these years,Booms in big business bringing my trade large Jobs etc.Thats nice for our Pockets in the short run.

I hate to say this but what we are all failing to see as a country is that there is an even larger issue at hand,The World is collapsing around us,is pulling back into an isolationest attitude as A country the answer? Is continuing on in the state of war that we are in any better? we all think of whats better in so short term.

We desperately need someone of such a huge caliber and Personal fiber.I see know one that is willing to step up to fit this bill,Republican,
Democrat,independant or Joe Blow.

It scares me not for my own future as much as my childrens and there children.

I am stuck in Western Washington and with the pass closed and am unfortunately unable to make it safely back for the precinct caucus. I would like to make a plea though, to endorse Obama if you are a democrat attending the caucus. I say this because as many people point out the Clinton's had plenty of scandals, but, so has the republican party as well. So, why is it if our country claims to "want" change and is dealing with these scandals that we don't vote for change? If we select Clinton as our nominee then that could potentially be the same two families in office since 1988! Not a particularly good thing in my opinion, especially if you're looking for change. Furthermore, she was a corporate lawyer for Wal-mart. Not saying anything for or against Wal-mart except to note their helath care for and treatment of employees isn't so great and she helped them get away with it, yet, she advocates universal health care and social causes?? hmmm... doesn't quite add up. Much of her principles and actions are contradictions and same is true of political career.

Please caucus for Hillary. For years she has been the target of evil right-wingers who obviously are threatened by a smart woman. She has gotten farther in a presidential election that ANY woman in American history, and for that reason alone will go down in history. Why vote for the jock when you can vote for the person who really did her homework.
jen

I am still waiting for someone to explain in detail why Sen. Clinton is able to claim she is "more experienced"? She has been in the Senate a few more years, but she has held elected office fewer years. Before that, she was the First Lady, when she lacked security clearance to be a part of serious decisions. If pillow talk counts as experience, she MAY have gotten in it those 8 years.
Additionally, if she is to be credited with the Clinton Administration's successes (e.g. the fiscal policy), then she must equally be held responsible for its failings. Let's recall that it had numerous scandals (including fund raising scandals that she has already repeated); they passed NAFTA, which has hurt the working classes; they blew health care; they blew don't ask-don't tell; they passed a Republican welfare "reform" that has proven punitive to poor families; they passed the "Defense of Marriage" Act, which appealed to the worst instincts of Americans; and they were extremely militant, deploying troops to or attacking Afghanistan, Sudan, Liberia, Serbia, Montenegro, Somalia (Black Hawk Down?), Iraq, Yemen, and Haiti -- to name only some. Oh, and this is not to mention the personal scandals.
I am a Democrat, and I grew up in New York -- I won't vote for Clinton in the primary, and I won't vote for her if she is nominated.

The choices overall are lacking, the worse of two evils so to speak,is it just me,but as of late with all the end of the world/2012/Aztec calender proclamations abounding in our media as well as an apocolyptic future, do we really want to elect an anti christ???do we,will this be published,Just something thats struck me odd,and I'm not even a devout religous man....Hmmm

I wonder if, when Hillary is President, this country will choose to pay her 68% of what a male president would get? That's what happening to women across America at the whim of the men who have run this country for far too long. If there's a chance for equity for women, Hillary just might be the person who gets it for us. Obama is just another pretty face--not presidential material. Elect Hillary!

This is Not a High School Student Body Election

As an enthusiastic, involved, and appreciative American, I liken this year’s election and media emphasis on the potential candidates to a high school student body election—and here is what we have to choose from:

John McCain – The “20-year old high school bully” who has his own gang, and there is a group-think that corresponds to his thinking--or else! Those who don’t support his ideas, can’t be a part of his gang. Who would want to be a “yes-man” to a bully!

Obama – The jock type whose dollar bills bulge from his pockets and whose smooth words show no evidence of follow through nor of substance. Cheerleaders follow him around, but there’s no real direction. We’ve had one empty-headed cowboy; we surely can’t afford to follow that with a light-headed jock.

Hillary Clinton – The studious thinker, the planner, the knowledgeable--the one who gets things done. She’s not the prom princess, but rather the one who works 24-7 for people and causes. When you study all the candidates, she’s the answer.

This is NOT a high school student body election—this election is too important to elect anyone but the most qualified candidate for the Presidency…and that’s Senator Hillary Clinton.

Hillary says what people want to hear, but (like health care) says nothing about financing it. Where was the hue and cry from the demos when Billy Bob was being impeached. People may not like GWB, but he was NEVER impeached. Besides, Hillary was running the country for 8 years while Billy Bob was chasing anything in a skirt. Besides, leaders of other countries are really going to respond well to a whiny female who only stayed with Billy Bob so she could run for prez. God help us if she wins.

I tend to favor Obama though me mums is STRONG pro Hillary. I'm so torn... lol

I like Hillary okay but wonder how she'd effectively change that from where she came. I think me mums wants her for the wrong reasons but it is pretty cool that we have Michelle and Hillary in good old Spokane on the same weekend. :-)

I saw a great bumper sticker that sums it up: "Elect Monica Lewinsky's Ex-Boyfriends Wife for President." Does our country really have such a short memory that the wife of a nearly impeached president, with scandals evolving from day one -- is still in the running? Wake up folks.

Am I the only person who literally can't stand the sound of Bush's voice? It sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard to me...which was only made worse by his policies. I thought Clinton was an
okay president with some questionable moral values/ethics...but he kind of sounded like Elvis Presley and so I loved to listen to him talk. I have always admired Hilary...but I have to admit Obama's book has convinced me that he has the type of vision and integrity I can believe in...and yes he has a great voice. Is anyone else effected by this type of thing? It may be completely superficial--but maybe it's not--the eyes are supposed to be the window to the soul--( I married a man whose Hawaiian name means "voice of thunder"which turned out to be the best decision I ever made)--so maybe a voice does reflect -in some way a person's character. Anyway I support Obama as the "voice of change" and I admire his hopeful "vision" for our country too.

I hope everyone remembers that the Clintons took on an enormous national debt from the last Bush administation 16 years ago, and left office with it cleared. I admire her depth in forgiveness and her tenacity, she is not a quiter, and she already knows how to run this country. She's got my vote! We can't afford to do the on the job training right now, Obama, god bless him, he has his potential.

Hillary Clinton is a good person who has worked for fairness and equity her whole life. She has survived unbelievable undeserved criticism, and become stronger as a result. Barack is the future hope of the democratic party, Hillary's time is now.

Both Hillary and Obama are liberal socialists. DO we REALLY want that? Remember ....niether can run against George Bush. He's gone. But focus your thoughts on a replacement. Do we want more taxes to develop and manage expanded socialist type programs? I don't. Vote as you will, but remember you can't vote against a guy who isn't running.

I have one question. Will Monica wear the same blue dress to Hillary's inauguration?

I don't care which wins the nod. Either one is better then any Republican alive.

Obama has become so "hip" that I can't handle it. I want someone who knows what they're going to do right when they step into the White House. Hillary all the way.

I am supporting Hillary because she is the best choice. Obama will get slaughtered by the Republicans machine for his drug use and his problems with the police, and yes I understand he was young when it happened and it will be a shame when he goes down in flames. To be honest I do not know what all the fuss is about, his oration reminds me of that of a preacher. He has good cadence, uplifting and inspirational but lacking in sincerity and depth. Bottom line we need to make sure the Republicans get their butts kicked out of office to get this country back on track. Bill Clinton did a great job, he was the best president of my lifetime and if even half of his statesmanship rubbed off on Hillary we will be much better off. For those people that bought into that scandal nonsense about the Clintons it never ceases to amaze me how gullible and truly uninformed our own citizens are. I should not be surprised, they are the same ones that elected Bush and then in spite of his incompetence they re-elected him.

Anybody but Bush. Both Hillary and Barack are capable of saving our country, but it will take years to repair the damage that the fascist government of George W. Bush has done to our country. Bush and Cheney should have been impeached years ago. Bill Clinton is Mother Theresa compared to the Bush Gangbangers. We need democracy restored and it can't be done by a neocon.

What a lot of sad, mean-spirited little tirades against the next President of the United States. When the stink of the Bush administration has been removed from the White House, it will be up to a Democrat to clean up the mess. I, for one, want a proven fighter - a real junkyard dog to fight for the American middle class. I know Hillary can scrap. I think Obama will be spit out in little pieces. Yes, he's a good and honest man, but so was Jimmy Carter.( And we all know what a disaster that was!) Does anyone believe the GOP will want to "play nice" or reach out after this election? RUBBISH! I simply don't believe Obama is up to the coming fight. There's too much at stake to waste a vote on an untried candidate.

Are these people who trash Hillary the same ones who defended them during her husbands debacle of a Presidency? YES!!!

I feel a great sense of shame that Hillary Clinton would attempt to trump Michelle Obama by scheduling her Town Hall around Michelle's talk. Her advance team could play any dirtier politics on a fellow democrat then this.

The Clintons are crooks. Remember Whitewater-gate, Castle Grande-gate, F.B.I. file-gate, White House Travel Office-gate, and Who Killed Vince Foster-gate, to list a few. Cote for Character not for Clinton.

Senator Obama is by far the best candidate running for President. His integrity, principled judgment, and inspirational leadership starkly contrasts with Clinton's willingness to assert and spread falsehoods, unprincipled vote for the Iraq War, and wretched failure in her attempt to reform healthcare in 1993.

We are all paying for her lack of courage to stand against the war and have been waiting 15 years for healthcare reform that she and her husband did not bring to us after 8 years in the White House and her 7 years in the Senate. Has all her years of experience accomplished anything positive that you can remember?
Clinton supporters, feel free to cite anything except stuff principally due to Bill.

Meanwhile, Senator Obama co-authored and passed landmark ethics bills in Illinois and Washington, curtailing the influence of lobbyists and special interests. These are the same lobbyists and special interests whose money Clinton accepts and to whom she is beholden. Senator Obama does not accept money from them, so he is only beholden to the American people.

Senator Obama has broad support across the U.S. His numerous backers are widespread and motivated, while Clinton's backers are faltering, disappointed that she frittered away her huge lead, and beginning to realize that they are not backing the best and most honorable candidate in the race.

Senator Obama wins converts every day. Once voters realize how much preferable he is to Clinton... or to McCain... they stick loyally by him, embracing and then passing along his message that we must unify to create positive change.

Don't give Clinton and the Republicans any encouragement. It will only make the changes that we seek as a country more difficult to enact.

If you want a change from the divisiveness of the politics of cynicism, if you want seasoned experience (11 years as an elected official, having won 3 elections), if you want someone who stands on principle, then Vote for Senator Barack Obama. Register, go the caucuses tomorrow, Saturday, and place a check mark next to his name.
