About this race: A three-member panel responsible for a $400million annual budget, 2,000 county employees, and policies affecting issues as varied as everything from tax rates, garbage dumps, law enforcement and public parks. Term: Four years.
Constituency: Southwest Spokane County and much of the city of Spokane. However, all Spokane County residents can vote in the election.
Salary: $93,000 per year plus a $7,142 auto allowance.
