Boa constrictor still unclaimed
An 8-foot-long boa constrictor found in a Post Falls yard a week ago has still not been claimed, officials said. They presume the snake is presumeably someone's pet. The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department is seeking help returning the mighty snake to its owner. Deputies and animal control officers found the boa in the 13600 block of Bodine Avenue on Sept. 16, which is just north of Post Falls, said Capt. Ben Wolfinger, sheriff's department spokesman. When they arrived, the snake was curled up on the lawn. Initially, the pet snake was taken by a veterinarian to North Idaho Pet Emergency until animal control officers were able to shelter it. The snake remains in custody. Anyone with information of whom the snake belongs to is asked to call (208) 446-1300.
