Spokane River Dialogue 6
The story: Washington Department of Ecology's Dave Peeler talks about how nutrients discharged into the Spokane River affect its health.

Dave Peeler, 54, a water quality manager for Washington state's Department of Ecology, is taking part in a collaborative effort to find ways to reduce the amount of nutrients like phosphorous that are discharged into the Spokane River. He traveled between Olympia and Spokane throughout 2005 overseeing the Spokane River TMDL Collaboration, a unique effort to brainstorm the best cleanup plan for the river.
