This is the third installment of "Spokane River Dialogues," a once-a-month project that looks at people with one thing in common--a love of the Spokane River.
This month Bruce Rawls, a utilities director with Spokane County Public Works, talks about how wastewater management on the Spokane River is more important than most people think. Bruce is in charge of shepherding a $100 million Spokane Valley wastewater treatment plant that is in the final stages of planning.
This video was challenging for me in that I didn't have much B-roll to work with. Instead, I switched gears and went with archived still images to go with what Bruce was talking about. Make sure you read the entire questions and answer transcript on Sunday in the editorial section of the newspaper and online.
