Spokane River Dialogues Episode 8 is the next of a yearlong installment of videos that profile people passionate about the health and future well being of the Spokane River.
Rachael Paschal Osborn, a local environmental lawyer, has worked tirelessly on the legal issues surrounding local waterways. Instead of being labeled an environmentalist, she prefers to call herself a conservationist. I think conservationist is a better term, she said. It harkens to history, going back to Teddy Roosevelt. For full transcript the Osborn interview with editorial writer Rebecca Nappi go to: http://www.spokesmanreview.com/sections/riverdialogues/

Another great story! Great job, Rachael, Colin & Becky! Rachael, you also tell it like it is! It has been an interesting "dance" and I suspect that there are some "dervishes" yet to come.
I am a Spokane native who has always loved the Spokane River. I'm so happy to see there are groups devoted to bringing back a healthy river that can be enjoyed by all, mainly the wildlife that currently and could potentially live in it! I'm currently pursuing an Environmental Science degree from Eastern and hope to use this education to help Spokane's water health.
Thank you for all you are doing, it is very inspiring!

Now, if we could only get the Spokesman-Review to quit polluting the river, we'd have something.
